A Champion may be an executive, board chair or board member; a legal or financial advisor to the banking industry, a member of the regulatory community, or a thought leader. It is someone who actively engages the banking community in discussions about the importance of gender diversity and promotes talented women in banking.

The Champions Award is given to the person who best responds to the call to action to educate the community banking industry on the importance of adding qualified women to the Board and C-suite. In addition, the award seeks to recognize those who develop and promote women leaders in community banking, all with the goal of increasing the number of qualified women serving on boards of directors and in executive management.
